Form-Lock (FL) and Stieber bi-directional clutches are used on cranes, winches and hoists to provide optional manual drive to the normal drive system to smoothly raise and lower loads. The Form-Lock is a mechanical clutch that can be driven in both directions while automatically providing a holding brake function when the driving torque is stopped.
